Snow peas/sugar snaps

  • The snow is a legume, more specifically a variety of pea eaten whole in its pod while still unripe. It is an annual legume with slender stems. The leaves end in one or more tendrils and have one to three pairs of leaflets. The pod is 5-10 cm long and may be straight or curved containing up to 10 globular smooth or wrinkled seeds.
  • It was proven that Rwanda can produce high quality of snow peas in Northern Province with cold and humid weather and fertile volcanic soil which are the required conditions
