"The establishment of these facilities will spur job creation in packaging, logistics, and agribusiness. Young entrepreneurs will thrive, while local communities will benefit from increased economic activity.”

The Guest of Honor, the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI), Dr. Mark Cyubahiro Bagabe emphasized the facility’s role in achieving Rwanda’s agricultural development goals: "This achievement reflects the shared commitment of both nations to advancing sustainable agriculture, fostering innovation, and empowering our farmers.”

The drying facility will benefit thousands of smallholder farmers in the targeted Districts by preserving the quality of chili and onions, increasing their shelf life, and ensuring they meet export standards. These efforts are integral to NAEB’s strategy to support the growth of Rwanda's horticultural value chains.
